After a couple of months of rumors and skepticism about what the iPhone 7 may or may not have, all of the tech-lovers questions were finally answered by Apple on September 7^th, when Apple officially released their newest technology.

That release included not only the iPhone 7, but also a new and improved Apple Watch series 2.

Typically, Apple releases a new iPhone every two years, with something newer, cooler, and updated then the previous one.

Though that may still be true, some feel the apple iPhone is just another gimmick of Apple’s to make money. The question is being raised if the 7 is pretty much the iPhone 6 with just a few tweaks, or if it actually is a new, better and more worthy piece of technology.

Though there is skepticism, there are some certain aspects of the iPhone 7 that people are raving about.

With some new perks, and ditching some old ones, one difference from the iPhone 6, is the GB sizes with the new phone.

iPhone 7 is ditching the 64GB that the previous iPhone 6 had. The iPhone 7 will come in only 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB sizes, along with some changes in colors as well. Including the addition of the new black and jet black finishes.

Another surprise with the new iPhone 7 plus is rumor that it will actually have more than the 7, besides size. The 7 plus is said to have 3GB of RAM which is 50% more than the iPhone 7.

One major addition making techies go wild is that the IPhone 7 is it said to have a camera “changing the industry forever.”

According to an article from The New Yorker, this new and improved camera is said to have two lenses. One is a 28-mm equivalent 12 megapixel lens and a equivalent, 12-megapixel telephoto lens.

Along with these new improvements, there are many other features making this camera as extensive as it is. That includes longer exposures, better aperture, and a device that can also shoot digital negatives. It has the ability to do pretty much what a professional camera can, like enhance shadows and remove highlights making the pictures look like they came from high-end cameras.

Along with the addition the greatest camera to ever be put in a phone, the new iPhone will also have an improved battery life better than ever before. The phone is also said to be 2x faster than the iPhone 6 and include a new iPhone speaker system louder than ever before. It will include a new and improved pressure-sensitive home button, making the phone respond faster.

Add to that the brightest, most colorful iPhone display yet.

Though to many these additions might make the iPhone 7 look like a revolutionary device in the world of technology, Apple’s biggest criticism they are receiving is the fact that the new iPhone will come with no headphone jack.

This new advancement will mean that iPhone 7 users will have to throw in the old wired headphones we came to know and love, and move to a Bluetooth pair.

This idea has really seemed to cause some anxiety among iPhone users. Many people love their corded headphones, and even though it’s said users will still be able to use them, due to the adapter that the iPhone will come with.

There is still some trouble for some adjusting to the idea of having yet another piece they have to remember to carry around, if they want to stick with the corded style.

This new tweak does have its advantages though.

Making the iPhone without the headphone jack will make the iPhone 7 water resistant as it was not in the past. Although you won’t receive the wireless headphones there is a pair apple will make called air buds that you can purchase to use with your new iPhone.

Of course, that is all at an additional cost.

When asked about what was thought of the removal of the iPhone jack and switching to Bluetooth, Professor Mary Ellen Lowney stated, “I want that jack – it really bothers me!”

And she said that the 7 doesn’t sound much different than the iPhone 6, but is just another phone for apple to make money.

Zach Bednarczyk, of AIC had a similar opinion on the new iPhone. He stated that it seemed like it was a “replica” of the iPhone 6, with just a few minor tweaks.

He also stated that he thinks Apple should supply wireless headphones, with the creation of a wireless phone. He says he is content with the six, and in reference to the iPhone 7 he said, “I am not getting one.”

There is good news though, if you are thinking about going wireless, and at a more affordable price then Apple’s air buds.

Other companies, like Beats are keeping right up with these new advancements.

Not only do they have wireless headphones like many other companies, but in many stores including ATT, they are offering deals like 100 dollars off with the purchase of an IPhone 7. Also, there are many other deals phone companies are offering with the purchase of the 7, like discounted screen protectors, cases, and more discounted accessories.

The apple watch series 2 will have some new advancements as well, including a new Nike style watch. The new watch will also have the water resistant feature at up to 50 meters. Making it able to be worn in water, makes this watch perfect for use in water sports and activities. The watch will also include GPS, meaning users can actually leave there phone at home, as they could not with the original Apple watch. Now, with just the watch, they can go for a run or jog and still be able to track calories, steps, and heart rate accurately.

So now the question is, will you be running to score yourself the new miraculous iPhone7, or maybe the apple watch series two? Or, are these new devices just another fad that will come and go?
