It was 12 a.m. on October 28, and even though it was so late, people were still up and waiting for the release of Meek Mill’s new album.

His fans had waited almost 3 years for this album to come out and the moment was finally here.

Meek Mill has finally released “Dreamchasers 4.”

Also referred to as “DC4,” this is a record that fans have been talking about forever. Over the past couple years Meek Mill has been in so much beef and change that we were unsure if the album would ever be released.

Now, hopefully for his sake, it actually lives up to the hype because his first albums set records.

Lately there have been signs of his career going downhill with him losing so many battle raps.

Plus, he has not had a hit since 2014, so he is really pulling for this album to bring him at least one. With nothing to cheer about from his rapping, this album could be Meek Mill’s chance to rise back to the top.

After talking to some of his dedicated fans, it seemed like Meek Mill was not the same man that they had once loved. His past albums broke the internet, making people go crazy.

Now he may need to be careful that too many people do not start talking bad about his album on the internet.

I talked to Jaysen Thompson, a Meek Mill fan who bought the album as soon as it came out. Now, being a loyal fan, Thompson is not going to say it just sucks, but he also didn’t give a rave review.

“There are really only a select few songs that I enjoy,” Thompson stated.

This is not like the past where people could put on one of Meek Mill’s albums and not skip a track.

Thompson agreed, and continued: “the album was built up to be great and after waiting so long for it, I thought it would be better.”

This is not the same music that fans are used to hearing.

I spoke with another fan, Amir Amos, who had come to reality with Meek Mill’s career a little while back.

“It was kind of what I expected because his career has been going downhill,” said Amos. “He used to be a great battle rapper, but now whenever he is challenged he ends up losing.”

Amos definitely didn’t expect much out of the album, but still decided to get out hope that maybe Meek Mill’s would shock people. Of course, he was disappointed to find out that he didn’t and album was seen as mediocre.

Many people went to social media and made it known that album is not as good as it is said to be. They were relentless and even went as far as saying that there is not one good song on the entire thing.

It is unknown what Meek Mill will do next because he was counting on this album to regain his popularity. He has been in multiple altercations with popular artists such as Drake and The Game.

They seem to be coming out on top in these altercations and the more Meek Mill loses, the less belief his fans have in him. This has even led people to say “Nikki Minaj makes more money and has more fans than Meek Mill.” Nikki Minaj is Meek Mill’s girlfriend and also a popular female artist, but people never thought she would be considered better than Meek Mill.

His career is hanging in the balance and “Dreamchasers 4” may have just made things worse for him. He needs to make a change fast before these reviews ruin his career.
