College is the time to meet new people, find yourself and plan the future. Most students only have four years to make the most of it and it goes faster than you think.

Below is a list of things college students should do before they graduate college. Some are crazier and more funny than others, but that’s the point of college — to do new things and step out of your comfort zone.

This list applies to all students, it doesn’t matter what school or country you hail from. Some activities heading off campus, and others can be inside the comfort of the library.

Take a trip off campus

It doesn’t matter if you’re taking a trip close to your campus or miles away, taking a trip while being in college is a most. A perfect trip can be planning a spring break vacation with your college friends. In some cases, you can take advantage of travel packages for a very low price.

Take advantage of all student discounts

One of the perks of being a college student is taking advantage of all the student discounts. A lot of places offer college students discounts and most of those place are near your school. Movie theaters offers college students discounts on your favorite movies. Restaurants, clothing stores or even markets offer discounts. Mostly everywhere they offer college students discounts — all you have to do is ask.

Join a club or leadership role

Colleges have many clubs and leadership roles waiting for your attention, and AIC is no different. It’s always good to join a club because you can meet new people and it can open doors in your life. Some clubs are more exclusive than others, but if you decide to join one you may even qualify for financial aid money. There a lot of leadership roles around campus. If you live at the college, you can apply for an RA position. Being an RA comes with its perks, they offer free room and board and the experience of meeting new people. Also, a good leadership role can be being part of the Student Government Association.

Have Fun

For many, point of going to college is to learn and earn a degree. But college is not always about the books — it’s good to have fun occasionally. Good ways to have fun range from attending a game, to going to an event with your friends, or going out to a bar and drink. Even doing a prank on someone; you’re a college student you can get away with it.

Meet new people

The best thing about college is meeting new people. In college, you meet people from all over the country or even the world. Take your time to engage with new people and learn from their culture. Who knows, maybe you end up meeting your new best friend or even future love.

Work at an internship or job

Not only having a job or an internship looks good on your resume,but you also make money. Working an internship can create the experience in your future career and helps you gain valuable  professional skills.

Study Abroad

When students think about studying abroad, they may think it’s impossible. It might be expensive or hard to decide where you want to go, but a lot of colleges offer financial aid or scholarships to students looking to go international. Also, some schools have connections with colleges in other countries in which you can even pay the same as your college. Think about all the experience you will gain from studying in another country and the fun you will have in the process.

Graduate College

College may be all fun and games, but the point of going to college is to graduate, of course. Have fun, but remember — school comes first.
