February 16, 2015
American International College has had many students in the 130 year history of the college. Simeon Everett of Manchester, New Hampshire is one of those student athletics who will be remember for years to come.
Everett is not a four-year Yellow Jacket but he is a huge part of the Wrestling team.
He began his college carrier at Springfield Technical Community College better known as STCC. There Everett become an All American at 141 pounds.
This year he will finish his college carrier studying Public Health, which is a new major here at AIC.
During an interview session with Yellow Jacket Newspaper Reporter Sean Caruso, Everett was candid about himself and his goals. Teammates know how hard it will be saying goodbye to a good captain, friend and drilling partner.

Here are the questions Everett answered:
How Excited are you to graduate? “Extremely excited, I can’t wait to start my carreer, a family. I’ve worked very hard all summer doing summer school. There has been no break for this guy.”
What do you plan to do with the public health degree? “I would like to become an epidemiologist.”
Will you miss wrestling? “That’s an easy question – yes.”
Do you plan on Coach or helping out around where you live? “I will try my best to help out. I heard Daniel Webster College just got a wrestling team so I might try and go help them out while I go get my master’s degree. I might even try and help out the University Of New Hampshire club team.”
What about becoming a coach at American International College? “This school would have to pay me pretty well and it might be kind of hard with my real job and going to classes for my master’s.”
How was the transition from community college to regular college? “STCC was strong education wise but wrestling and working with a balance of school was also very difficult.”
Who will you miss the most at American International College? “The guys, meaning the wrestling team. They gave me a bunch of memories and friendship that will last forever.”
How does your job at the library help you with the carrier you’re trying to persue? “This job here gave me management skills, helps me use information and data. It also helps me interact with the community.”
How much are you going to miss Sean Caruso as your drilling partner? “I’m going to miss his crazy self on and off the mat. I’ve never been around anyone like him before. He’s the only one that wanted to wrestle me in the room.”
Best Memories At AIC? “Wrestling, and when I graduate.”
This is your last year wrestling for yourself, what’s your game plan? “Well to be honest, my plan is to be in the best physical shape and to dominate my matches and become a Division 2 All American or even better a National Champion.”
When is your Senior Night? “My senior night is February 21st. at 12 noon in the gym, I hope there is a good amount of people coming to watch me wrestle my very last home match ever.”
