Adele Breaks Four Year Hiatus with Surprise Release
November 4, 2015
Adele left her fans 4 years ago with 21 and now is planning to release her third album 25 this year, on November 20.
Last Friday, Adele released a teaser – the single ‘Hello’ – for her fans from her expected album. Many would agree that she indeed “broke the internet” from her surprise release. With over 25,000,000 views on her VEVO YouTube video in the first day, holding the #1 spot on iTunes for both sales of the single and preorder for the album, Adele surely will be a threat to her peer musicians.
Just Google “Adele” and the predictions for her future album sales are already surfing the Internet. Forbes predicts her album to be the best seller of the year giving the fans, like myself, more anticipation for its release.
Adele is a British based artist that is known for her mature spirited sound and young age. It is clear that she walks in the category of soul music, making her a relatable artist for her fans.
Adele’s previous albums were known for her description and insight to her heartbreak for past lovers. However, since then, Adele now has a three-year-old son, Angelo James Konecki, with fiancé Simon Konecki. Adele seems to be happy and settled so fans are wondering what insight they will receive this time.
For all the hopeless romantics and brokenhearted people, many didn’t know if they would get the music they needed from Adele now that she is in happy times. But, when ‘Hello’ was released there was no doubt that Adele forgot what her fans loved to hear.
The single raised questions on if she was still happy or was facing, once again, another romance fall down. To answer the elephant in the room: no, the song is not inspired by Simon. Adele and her lover are on great terms and from the view fans have they are happier than ever.
Most new lovers despise hearing about the previous ones, but Simon is a different kind of breed. Simon supports his fiancé’s lyrics as “totally fine” with using ex-lovers as inspiration, according to Adele.
This is not the first time America has seen a UK artist break barriers in the music industry. Just earlier this year a London artist, Sam Smith, took home over four Grammys home for his hit single ‘Stay With Me.’ Alongside Smith and Adele stand a handful of power UK artists like Rita Ora and Ed Sheeran. This is surely just the beginning of music diversity on international levels.
Adele’s single now being the topic of discussion has made many individuals want to share their perspective. Many tweeted humorous jokes on how the song made them feel. Some of the tweets included:
@vanderpool33: “4 hours later and I’m still screaming Adele’s lyrics to the world.”
@wplittke: “‘I really don’t like Adele’s new song’, my boyfriend said. We just broke up.”
The anticipation is now on its highest rise yet, making it the talk of the town in multiple countries.
The results of the single could be considered a mere idea of what Adele has in store for her fans and the industry. There is no doubt that based off this past weekend’s events that Adele will be a solid force to compete with.
It will be a great season of music for the pop culture with famous rapper Drake releasing an album and whoever else decides to surprise their fans this season.
Music is a therapy to some and hobby for others and Adele is proving to give the fans what they want.
