PSI CHI International Honor Society in Psychology was founded about 80 years ago by two students who believed that there would be an interest for a national organization to nourish and stimulate student interest in the science of psychology. The AIC Chapter of PSI CHI has been adding to its numbers as far back as 1978 and continues each year to seek the best of AIC’s academically talented psychology majors and minors.

This spring, on April 4th, a total of 17 students were inducted at the annual Induction and Installation ceremony held in the West Wing of the Cultural Arts Center. Despite the unexpected snowy weather, the students were joined by their invited families, friends, PSI CHI alumni and dedicated members of the AIC community. On behalf of the Psychology department, and as PSI CHI Faculty Advisor, Dr. Destinee Chambers wanted to say thank you to everyone who made a sacrifice that afternoon in order to show support and encourage the newly inducted and installed members.

The new undergraduate members include: Bianca Aridou, Pauline Barry, Jessica Fonseca, Eleni-Anna Fulop, Kemani-Malik Hume, Anthony Leadbeater, Hope Miller, Tanisha Moyer, Imani Parks, Kanisha Pierre-Noel, Horatio Pinnock, Derek White, and Melanie Young. The new graduate members are Iris Caraballo, Olivia Figueira, Ashley Hernandez, and Jessie Murray. Additionally, Pauline Barry, Derek White, Imani Parks, and Meshack Mtango were officially installed as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer (respectively).
